Our purpose is to unite communities
using collaboration, inspiration, gratitude, and fun.
“For Everyone” means Everyone
CSz Boston and The Rozzie Square Theater believe everyone deserves to be embraced, respected, and celebrated for who they are. We intend to ensure equitable, inclusive experiences; we recognize the exponential impact we are capable of having as community members of Roslindale, a business in Boston serving other businesses, and part of the history and future of comedy and improv education.
With the goal of eradicating white supremacy and the systems that uphold it, we commit to growing our own awareness through regular DEI training for our leadership team, at a minimum of 12 hours a year. We commit to keeping an ongoing dialogue, within not only our company but also as a leader in multiple communities. We commit to actively prioritizing and seeking out collaborations with neighborhood partners of underrepresented groups.
We are committed to positively impacting our various communities through providing experiences where everyone feels safe, included, and celebrated. Everyone means Everyone.

As an organization that is predominantly white in a predominantly white city, doing a predominantly white art form, how do we plan to participate and lead?
We won’t run from having the hard conversations. We will continue to take personal responsibility when or where we don’t get it right. We will hold ourselves accountable in the journey to do the work - to listen to the oppressed, to educate ourselves on being allies, and dismantle outdated systems - with the goal of eradicating white supremacy.
What ELSE does that look like?
For an improv and corporate training company that operates a physical space in Boston, this looks like (so far):
Zero tolerance for harassment, racist abuse, hate speech, and racist content - all performers, teachers, staff, and volunteers are required to sign our Code of Conduct before engaging at the theater
Regularly auditing and improving our audition, talent recruitment, audition marketing, and casting processes
Regularly auditing and improving our curriculum and facilitator practices
Which vendors we source for products and services (local and national) such as lighting and sound equipment, concessions, ComedySportz uniforms, merchandise, and printed materials
Whom we partner with for their non-profit and fundraising efforts
Whom we do business with
Regular audits and updates of The Rozzie Square Theater Code of Conduct and CSz Boston anti-harassment, discrimination, and reporting policies
Quarterly discussion to review diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and actions
Annual budget allocation toward DEI education and training for leadership
